This weekend, while we were in New York, I got to see an old friend of mine perform. I’ve plugged him on here before, when his American Me album (available on iTunes and Amazon) came out, and I’m gonna keep plugging him, coz I think his music is awesome: musically, creatively, lyrically. Mixing funk, soul and R&B, my buddy Dawen keeps producing great, great songs.
Here are some pics from the gig last week–a little dim due to the lighting in the place–including a couple with guest performer Alfa. (You should go check her out too; her blog is here.)
Check out the music video for the first single off of American Me, “Wake Up.”
Last night, I went to see David Crowder* Band, whom I consider one of the most creatively, technically and artistically progressive Christian worship musicians out there. And it was awesome. Mark (one of the guitarists) took a pic from the stage to tweet:
Some thoughts on faith, music and politics to come.
Election results: Republicans Chris Christie and Bob McDonnell win the governorships of New Jersey and Virginia respectively, but Democrat Bill Owens pulls off an upset in NY-23.
